Freezing for love
When we stepped out of our cars to meet up in Lancaster City, it was easily the coldest day ever, the temperature hovering around 14 degrees with a biting wind that made it feel even colder. Despite the frigid weather, Mariah and Ian were the BEST sports.
We spent the next 45 minutes trekking around the streets of Lancaster City, braving the bitter cold (and the wind, which definitely made its presence known). Instead of letting the weather slow us down, we leaned into it. The wind added such a fun, natural movement to the photos, and the cold gave Mariah and Ian the perfect excuse to cozy up.
Somehow, in just those 45 minutes, we captured some of the most joyful and playful moments. The laughter, the wind-blown hair, and the way they naturally pulled each other in for warmth made the entire session feel so authentic to them. It was one of those shoots where the conditions weren’t exactly ideal, but the memories and photos made it completely worth it.
I can’t wait to celebrate Mariah and Ian’s wedding this May, and hopefully, the weather will be a bit warmer! Their love and playful energy made this chilly day so much fun, and I just know that their spring wedding will be full of that same joy, laughter, and cozy moments, just with sunshine instead of possible snowflakes!
